Hi, I'm Taynara Formagini

I am a behavioral and public health scientist committed to addressing health disparities among Latinos and other vulnerable populations in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and associated risk factors.

I am currently an NIH-funded T32 Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Integrated Cardiovascular Epidemiology Fellowship at the University of California San Diego, Department of Family Medicine.

I completed my Ph.D. in Health Policy and Management at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2022 and have a background in Behavioral Psychology and Public Health.

My work is grounded in the socio-ecological framework based on the recognition that behaviors and health outcomes are shaped both by living and working conditions and by economic and social resources and opportunities.
